Vegan food is becoming more and more popular as people get more health conscious. Although Szczecin’s culinary scene is growing all the time, the fact is that Polish people are predominantly meat eaters. Therefore there are very few options for people who don’t eat meat and even fewer options for full-blown vegans.
Enter Vege Club Amar. The name is apt because Amar is not restaurant, perse. They have fresh food everyday including soup, main courses and all kinds of baked goods including savory rolls and desserts. And everything is Vegan!!! 🙂
I have to describe the food so that you won’t be surprised. The soups and mains are always gluten free (YAY!!!) They use whatever is in season and fresh at any given time. The only thing is that if you eat there every day it will start to seem a bit repetitive. (See photos). That being said, I have NEVER been disappointed or left feeling hungry and I’ve eaten there MANY times! The main course usually consists of a carb like rice or kasha, with some kind of sauce with vegetables, salad and a side like lumpias or veggie patties. Everything a hungry vegan needs!
The desserts are great too!
If you are vegan and you are visiting Szczecin you should definitely stop by Amar Vege Club!
They post what they will be serving on their FACEBOOK everyday.
Oh! And did I mention that it’s not expensive?!
For a small soup and main you will pay 14PLN and for a large (HUGE!) it’s only 23!
